Hope Ministries’ WonderWe Crowdfunding Reaches Younger Demographic!
Hope Ministries, a South Bend, Indiana nonprofit, recently tested the WonderWe crowdfunding platform as a project-focused, donor solicitation channel. The experience, according to Jessie Klein, Director of Community Relations, was “fantastic.”
“Yet just as important as the positive uptick in donations”, Jessie continued, “Was WonderWe’s faith-based integrity.” Hope Ministries believes that by grace, through faith in Christ, people can gain a new identity as children of God. By sharing this belief through WonderWe, Hope Ministries gained new relationships. God gained children.
One of the most significant outcomes of Hope Ministries’ campaign was the platform’s ability to reach deep into a younger demographic. Perhaps it was the faith-based component, perhaps the clarity and ease of the platform itself, or perhaps it was simply the stories of deep wounds healed. Whatever the motivation, visitors to Hope Ministries’ online campaign responded with yes, we’ll help. Campaign goals were not only met, they were exceeded.
According to Jessie, WonderWe delivered on all commitments; two exceeded expectations. The first was their phenomenal (Jessie’s words) customer service. “When we asked a question, we had the answer within an hour,” Jessie shared.

The second was the platform’s zero-fee based model. While WonderWe is preparing to launch WonderWe Pro for registered charities, currently there is no cost beyond a standard credit card processing fee. The platform will not take a profit from monies a donor commits to their chosen cause. Donating a percentage to WonderWe itself—to help underwrite the costs of serving faith-based initiatives—is completely at the discretion of the donor. A low subscription model is being considered for the coming Pro model, which also could be offset by donor participation.
Most nonprofits today continue to engage traditional fundraising channels—galas, runs, and direct marketing campaigns. Many remain relevant. However, WonderWe inspires a fresh approach to traditional efforts. Through WonderWe, Hope Ministries was empowered to tap an untapped market, one that proudly proclaims that it is God’s grace that transforms lives.
The outcome? The platform delivered. The grace? More lives were transformed.
